Intermediate Hurling Final,Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams v Golden Kilfeacle.
The West is Awake, and Cashel is the stage.
This Saturday, Leahy Park will host a West Tipperary clash rich in story, pride, and history as Golden/Kilfeacle and Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams meet in the 2025 Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Final.
For Golden/Kilfeacle, this marks a fourth Intermediate final appearance and another chance to etch their name in county history. Their journey began with heartbreak in 1982, when Borrisokane ran out 3-17 to 1-5 winners. Redemption came in 1995, when they claimed their one and only title, defeating Cahir by 2-12 to 0-4 in emphatic fashion. Their most recent final appearance came in 2023, when Boherlahan-Dualla proved too strong, winning 3-15 to 0-15. Two years later, Golden return to the biggest stage determined to finish the job.
Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams, meanwhile, have a perfect record at this grade — one final, one victory. Their moment came in 1992, when they overcame Burgess 4-7 to 0-10 to lift their maiden Intermediate crown. Now, 33 years on, a new Kickhams side has the chance to follow in those footsteps and bring silverware back to the parish once again.
Both teams have been flawless on their path to Cashel, five wins from five.
Kickhams swept through Group 2, accounting for Ballingarry, Clonoulty/Rossmore, and Drum & Inch, before overcoming Moyle Rovers in the quarter-final and Borrisokane in the semi-final.
Golden/Kilfeacle were equally clinical in Group 4, defeating Ballybacon/Grange, Kilsheelan/Kilcash, and Shannon Rovers, before dispatching Arravale Rovers in the quarter-final and Cappawhite in the semi-final.
Two unbeaten sides, two proud parishes, and one county title on the line.
At 3.30pm on Saturday, October 25th, in Leahy Park, Cashel, the West will rise again — but only one will walk away as Tipperary Intermediate Hurling champions.

🟢 Final Thoughts & Prediction
When you strip back the numbers, this has all the makings of an open and entertaining final. Golden/Kilfeacle’s scoring average of 31.6 per game and a remarkable three goals per outing tell you everything about their attacking intent. They play with pace, create overlaps, and have finishers who can turn half chances into majors. Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams, meanwhile, average 25.2 per game and rely on a solid defensive base, conceding just 18.6 on average.
Both sides are efficient from play — Golden at 78% and Kickhams at 76% — meaning we should see plenty of open hurling and long passages without whistles. The placed-ball battle between Jack Leamy and Stephen Browne could also swing momentum at key moments, particularly if conditions are heavy and frees are at a premium.
Given the data trends, it’s unlikely to be a low-scoring affair. Golden’s goal-scoring record gives them the sharper edge, while Kickhams’ defensive structure should keep it tight early on. Expect Golden to eventually find the space to land a couple of crucial goals.
Prediction: Golden/Kilfeacle to edge it in an exciting, high-scoring final.
