Intermediate Hurling Team of the Year in Championship 2024.
1. Jack Currivan (Golden Kilfeacle)
The meanest Club defence across the Senior, Premier Intermediate and Intermediate grades in the County this Year was marshalled well by Currivan,1-77 conceded, a remarkable total of 0-16 per game. One goal conceded in the Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Championship and that was in the Semi Final v Ballingarry, Another Goal conceded in the West Championship.2 Balls put past him all Year, Remarkable.
2. James Burns (Ballingarry)
Ballingarry were scrappy all year, won four by a point, lost one by a point. Burns was a Team of the week contender most weeks. Defiant and Tenacious, Burns was a key component in the South Men’s march to a Semi Final.
3. Shane O’Connell (Golden Kilfeacle)
Rock steady in the Meanest Defence in Club Hurling this Year. O’Connell is the embodiment of what You want in a defender. Two Words. No Nonsense.

4. Cathal Greene (Moneygall)
So good in the role at number 4. Always an option for a keeper on an out ball. Rarely beaten.
5. Eoin Whyte (Moneygall)
A big unit in the North Men’s half back line. A nightmare for opposition Keepers on their puck out. Can take a score too. 0-02 from Play this Year.
6. Brendan Toohey (Moneygall)
Stylish Centre Back, Can push up or play the sweeper role. Too Dangerous to leave loose. First half performance in the Semi Final v Cappawhite was a tour de force.
7. Tom Treacy (Cappawhite)
If Cappawhite had won their Semi Final joust v Moneygall, He would’ve been Man of the Match. The only player to subdue Joe Fogarty in 2024, keeping him to one point from play. Made our Team of the week twice also.
8. Adam Hogan (Moneygall)
A brilliant year. Moved out from his sweeper role in ‘24 he flourished in Midfield scoring at will. Formed a formidable partnership with Aodhan Ryan. 2-14 from Play for a Midfielder. Nailed on to be included here.
9. Conor Vaughan (Ballingarry)
An important player for the South men on their run to the Intermediate Final. Performed the sweeping role in the Quarter Final. 1-6 in the Round 2 game v Kilsheelan which qualified Ballingarry out of the Group. 1-07 from Play for the Year,1-09 in Total.
10. Dylan Walsh (Ballingarry)
He’s never not at it. 3-47 in Total, 2-16 from Play, A defenders Nightmare.
11. Joe Fogarty (Moneygall)
Just so good at this level. Rapid. Man of the Match performance in the County Final. 11pts, 0-5 from play. 2-44 in Total,2-14 from Play
12. Oisin Larkin (Borrisokane)
A phenomenal scorer. Dragged Borrisokane on his back to the Quarters. 5-51 has Oisin, Intermediate Top Scorer for 2024,Second in the from Play charts with 3-17.23,Last Month, Another Man surely on the Cahill Radar ?.

13. Eamonn Hough (Shannon Rovers)
His early form in the County Championship was brilliant. The winning goal v Portroe in injury time, Which got Rovers out into the Knockout stages of the IHC, being the highlight. Wasn’t as influential in their Extra Time Quarter Final defeat to Cappawhite but, was a huge part of the Shannon Rovers success story. 3-13 From Play.
14. Sean Keneally (Moneygall)
7-28.All.From.Play.

15. Jack Leamy (Golden/Kilfeacle)
At 21 the Oldest one of the Golden Forwards. Huge Future ahead of Him. 3-49 in Total, Second in the Top Scorer Charts, 7th in the From Play Charts with 3-11.
