Intermediate Club Power Rankings ahead of this Weekends Semi Finals and Relegation Final.
16. Upperchurch/Drombane
Probably gave their best performance of the year against Skeheenarinky. But again 15 scores in their 1-16 to 0-15 loss v Skeheenarinky in their relegation Semi Final loss. A wafer thin average scoring return versus their Relegation Final Opponents, Ballybacon Grange in Nenagh, Tomorrow. One last push from both Pat Shortt with 2-05 and TJ Butler with 2-14 could be enough to push them over the line, Double the Goals scored of Ballybacon in their respective Campaigns, 6 v 3.
Down 1.
15. Ballybacon/Grange
They have been deep in relegation trouble the past few Years and Yet they find a Way. When they don’t score a goal or two they seem to struggle. 15 scores is as much as they can manage and marginally they are slightly worse off than the ‘Church in this regard. Reason to be hopefully for the South men’s supporters ?,There have the 4th best defence of all 16 Intermediate Outfits. Brendan Cummins marshalling the Defence and chipping with the odd very significant score along with Billy Hewitt further up the park could see them survive yet again.
Down 1.

14. Skeheenarinky
Won by four against Upperchurch in their relegation Semi Final,1-16 to 0-15. A Year they’d rather forget and which has seen them slip back significantly. 11 Scorers from play for the 2024 Intermediate Championship but 10 of them will have to up their scoring tallies next Year as they cant rely on Tomás Vaughan to carry them forever. 5-26, 3-05 of it from play.
Up 2.
13. Arravale Rovers
Scored 19 points again to beat Ballybacon Grange, 0-19 to 0-15 in their relegation Semi Final. The conundrum of where to play Johnny Ryan is something they will have to sort in Tipp Town over the Winter. Sean O’Mahony, a major find for them this Year, the Youngster with a total tally of 0-37, 0-11 of it from Play, and with two County Minors coming into the equation next Year, You’d think they will drive on more in 2025.

10. Kilsheelan/Kilcash
Finished Third in Their Intermediate Group.

9. Drom/Inch
Beaten by Borrisokane in their Preliminary Quarter Final.
No Change.
8. Borrisokane
Golden were just a step too far for them. Two sloppy goals conceded before the break was probably their downfall and had a major bearing in their 3-23 to 0-21 Quarter Final Loss.13 scorers from Play but the form of Oisin Larkin has been stunning, 5-51 for 5 games in the Intermediate Championship,3-17 of it from Play.
Down 2.

7. Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams
Put Ballingarry to the pin of their collars. Maybe they should’ve seen it out. Like Borrisokane below them in our Rankings, the concession of the last two goals especially, will haunt them out West. Second Best Attack,13th Best Defence tells its own tale.
No Change.
6. Portroe
Scored 3 goals and went in level with Moneygall at the break in their Intermediate Quarter Final. Really needed an early 4th goal after half time to rattle their fellow North men but Moneygall were on high alert and then Kenneally flipped into top gear and they were defeated at the end,2-24 to 3-13.The 2023 relegated Premier Intermediate Club will spend another year in Intermediate in 2025,Can they get Ruadhan Mulrooney home from the States ?,AJ Willis returned this Year and chipped in with 2-08 from play. John Sheedy their main Man, 0-39.
Down 1.
5. Shannon Rovers
Nearly got there against Cappawhite in their Quarter Final. A serious 2nd half performance saw them take it to extra time before succumbing. Conal Moran with a whopping 1-19 alone in that game. Major Progress made in 2024 after a torrid 2023.
Down 1.

4. Cappawhite
Happy to be at this stage. Blowing a nine point lead in the Quarter Final against Shannon Rovers and lost to Ballybacon in the round robin. Not the sort of form that could see them beating Moneygall, who are averaging 0-12 more per game than them. Could the deluge expected Tomorrow narrow the scoring chasm?
Up 4.
3. Ballingarry
Still unbeaten in 2024. What more can You ask for. They looked under pressure at times against a gallant Kickhams side but good team pull through and Ballingarry are undoubtedly a good Team. Dylan Walsh has been in outstanding form for them,3-25 in total,2-09 from play, You’d like to think his Club Man and current Tipperary Manager is taking keen note of his Form.
Down 1.
2. Golden/Kilfeacle
Comprehensive win over Borrisokane in their Quarter Final. We are often rightly accused of too much focus and praise for Club Forwards in our Teams of the Week and our Power Rankings. But for once, We would like to highlight Jack Currivan and his outstanding set of backs, the best defensive unit by a distance across Tipperary Senior, Premier Intermediate and Intermediate Club Hurling, so far this Year. Average Score Total Per Game Conceded 0-16.Outstanding.

1. Moneygall
A forgone conclusion, one of the Podcast boys say. Listen Below. They might not be wrong. Operating at Premier Intermediate level. Can’t see how they will be stopped this Year. Second Best Defence, an absolutely rampant Attack with a total of 13-97 ran up. Sean Kenneally with 5-19 from Play, Paddy Fogarty 4-09 from play, Adam Hogan 2-11 from Play, Joe Fogarty 2-08 from Play. Their 4th Semi Final in 4 Years at this Grade. You’d have to think it’s Now or Never
