Its been some Year for Minor Hurling in the County with the extra-ordinary All Ireland Final success, an Epic of a Minor A County Final and a Queue of Outstanding Minor Hurlers forming up. Here is the Minor A Club Hurling Team of the Year as voted for by the PremierView Podcast Listeners.
1. Paddy McCormack Moneygall
Paddy McCormack had a great 2024. The Moneygall goalie put in a string of consistent performances throughout the North championship. Paddy was also a member of the victorious Tipperary minor panel that won the Munster and All Ireland titles.

2. Cathal O’Reilly Holycross Ballycahill
Cathal embodies the essence of a true leader. His demeanor and conduct, both on and off the field, surpass his youthful age. It’s no wonder his teammates selected him as their Captain. With his fierce defensive style, coupled with sharp intelligence, speed, and exceptional skill, Cathal poses a formidable challenge for opposing attackers. Holycross Ballycahill has a strong legacy of developing exceptional attacking corner backs, and with Cathal they have another one to rival Barrett and Doyle.

3. Patrick Ryan Borris-ileigh
Patrick Ryan has been fantastic for both Club and County in 2024. He started his year playing as a corner back with Tipp and was part of the Munster and All Ireland winning squad. Patrick was immense in the All Ireland Final and played a pivotal role in the all important goal as Tipp won in Nowlan Park. Patrick returned to club duty and has been deployed in a few positions since, which speaks volumes as to his versatility and he is part of Borris squads at both U19 and U21 level, that have reached North Finals in 2024.

4. Cormac Frend Toomevara
One of the most intelligent young hurlers you will ever see. An old head on young shoulders. His performance in the County Quarter Final versus a physically strong Killenaule side was up there with the best of them. Often given the job of marking the opposition’s main forward, and is always equal to the task, proving time and time again that size isn’t everything.

5. David Ryan Arravale Rovers
David had to fight for his starting spot with the Tipperary Minors this Year, but once he got the wing back Jersey he proved his worth. Tasked with man marking the opposition’s danger men, he took to the difficult role with great ease.
David is a great stick man with supreme balance and foot work. He is a fabulous sight in full flight. He represented his Club, Arravale Rovers with great pride and he has had some Year at club level, U17A West Hurling ,U17A West Football, U19B County Football and a U19B West Hurling Winner.

6. Kieran Rossiter Durlas Og
Kieran was another member of this year’s Tipperary minor hurling panel . A serious hand injury sustained against Limerick meant he missed out on the concluding stages of the Munster Championship and the All Ireland series. A player blessed with an explosive turn of speed and great balance he can turn a game in the blink of an eye .He played center back for Durlas Og this year and was an inspirational figure in their County Minor success.

7. Bill Fogarty Durlas Og
Bill was a member of the Celtic Challenge hurling panel , a team that reached the All Ireland final against Kilkenny .A player that has really matured and developed in the last twelve months . He is very strong in the air while showing great composure on the ball .His vision and eye for a score proved to be vital ingredients in Durlas Og’s success this year . He is most comfortable at wing back but proved his versatility by filling at fullback for the latter stages of the championship.

8. Keelan Dunne Durlas Og
Keelan is a very talented all rounder . Equally adept at rugby as he is at hurling . Keelan has represented Munster at youths level this year . He is known for his fantastic turn of pace and overall energy. Frequently given the task of marking the opposition’s danger man, a role that he relishes . He played in the center of the field for most of this Year’s campaign . Keelan was captain of the Durlas Og team this Year and played a real Captain’s performance in this Year’s County Final.

9. Tiarnan Ryan Holycross Ballycahill
Tiarnan’s self-confidence and unwavering determination propelled him from a substitute with Tipp, in the first round to a key starter, earning him the title of Man of the Match in the All-Ireland Final, as well as a spot on the Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Hurling Team of the Year. Though not the tallest player on the team, Tiarnan is a true powerhouse. His ability to win possession, particularly in tight rucks, is unmatched. His skillful wrist work, quick footwork, and game sense making the ideal teammate.
He is a selfless midfielder with the versatility to score from anywhere on the field. With his commitment to the game, Tiarnan is sure to continue evolving into an outstanding player for both his Club and County.

10. Adam Ryan Arravale Rovers
Adam cemented his place on the starting Tipperary Minor team this Year, at no 10. His powerful running caused great difficulty for opponents and yielded dozen of frees for his team. Adam is a joy to watch under puck outs, having mastered the difficult skill of fielding high balls against his opponents. His contribution to the All Ireland win was very significant as he won a lot of ball, particularly in extra time. He was one of two players representing Arravale Rovers on the Minor All Ireland team.

11. Euan Murray Durlas Og
Euan played a central role in Tipperary’s march to the All Ireland title this year . A hugely talented player he has all the attributes to make it to the very top .He is strong in the air equally comfortable of the left and right, a powerful runner with the ability to make scoring look easy .An extremely versatile player , it will be interesting to see what position he eventually settles into .
He will be a vital cog in the Tipperary Minor team in their bid to retain the All Ireland crown in 2025 .

12. Jack Marnell Jk Brackens
Jack stands out not just for his scoring statistics but, also for his remarkable talent in securing possession especially under the high ball. Jack was a member of the All Ireland Minor winning panel in 2024 and was a crucial player for the Jk Brackens Minor team causing havoc for opposition defenses regardless, of whether he played in the Half Forward or Full Forward line.

13. Eoin Webb Durlas Og
Eoin was a member of the Tipperary U16 Hurling Squad in 2024. A nagging hamstring injury restricted his involvement but he recovered in time to put in a number of sterling performances for his club on their journey to County success . A speedy and very elusive corner forward his many scores were vital in Durlas Og’s success this year. Eoin is young enough to look forward to another Year in minor ranks in 2025.

14. Stefan Tobin Carrick Swan
From an early age, Stefan Tobin was identified as a player destined for greatness. He made a memorable debut on the Minor Intercounty scene in 2023, announcing his arrival with a breathtaking solo goal against Cork in the Munster Minor Hurling Championship. However, 2024 truly marked Stefan’s breakout year in the Blue and Gold. A dynamic and versatile player, Stefan has consistently showcased his skill, agility, touch, and ability to perform under pressure.
His standout performance came in the Munster Minor Final against Clare, where he scored 1-03 from play, including a crucial goal eight minutes from full-time, earning him the well-deserved Man of the Match award. At Club level, Stefan has been equally influential, playing a key role in securing the South U21 ‘A’ Hurling Championship for Carrick Swan and driving success within his own age group. His dedication, leadership, and natural talent mark him as a promising prospect for the future of Tipperary hurling.

15. Cillian Minogue Durlas Og
Cillian’s second year as a County Minor saw him achieve All Ireland success in 2024 . He put in a number of man of the match performances on this journey . An extremely talented forward, he is probably most comfortable in the corner forward position. Cillian is blessed with an excellent first touch and he has a knack of creating space for himself where none exists . A real sharp shooter whose scoring exploits were critical in his County and Club’s success this Year.
