Premier Intermediate Hurling Team of the Year in Championship 2024.
1. Enda Dunphy (St Mary’s)
Despite a Quarter Final collapse Mary’s had the best defensive record in the Premier Intermediate Grade. Dunphy was exceptional most days he togged out. Third Choice with Tipp between the Sticks in 2024,He will be looking to move up the pecking order in 2025.
2. Keith Ryan (Upperchurch Drombane)
The ‘Church captain was consistency personified during 2024. Rarely beaten. 0-02 from Play also.
3. Scott Hogan (Carrick Swan)
Hogan dealt with most of what was thrown at him. Strong and dependable on the edge of the Square. One of the pillars of a Swan Team who made the County Final.

4. Conor Gleeson (Gortnahoe Glengoole)
Man marking in the full back line or a swash buckling half-back. Conor Gleeson can do it all. Team of the Week contender, most weeks. 0-07 from Play in this Year’s Premier Intermediate Championship.
5. Cathal Quinn (Cashel King Cormacs)
It’s no surprise that Cashel’s form turned with the return of Quinn to the half-back line. Cashel finished third in their Championship Group but, Quinn’s point deep into injury time in the West Final gave Cashel the lifeline of a Preliminary Quarter Final spot and ultimately a place in the 2025 Senior Hurling Championship. Such Small Margins.
6. Gavin O’Halloran (Carrick Swan)
Certainly not as effective in the Final but O’Halloran drove the Carrick lads all Year. Rock solid in the number 6 position and You can see why he was on Liam Cahill’s radar. A Beautiful Striker of a Sideline Ball.
7. Cian Flanagan (Newport)
Did everything in his power to keep Newport afloat in the Premier Intermediate Grade. 5 points from wing back against Boherlahan, Took the fight to the Treacy’s in the Relegation Final and ended up in the Forwards trying to salvage their Premier Intermediate status. 1-14 in total for 2024.
8. Eoghan Connolly (Cashel King Cormacs)
Showed real form and leadership all year for the 2024 Seamus O’Riain Champions. Long range free taking was Class also. Cashel’s best player by a distance. 3-27 in Total.
9. Pat Deegan (Sean Treacy’s)
Showed up everyday for the West men. A real livewire from the middle of the field. A scoring touch also and while not to the fore in the Relegation Final, stepped up with a real important white flag in injury time. 1-17 From Play.
10. Keane Hayes (Gortnahoe Glengoole)
The GG go-to man. An ace marksman from frees and lethal in general play. 2024, 2-45 in Total, 2-16 from Play. 2023 0-63 in Total, 0-14 from Play.
11. Devon Ryan (Cashel King Cormacs)
A Man of the Match performance in the Final. The 2024 Premier Intermediate Championship Top Scorer.

12. Callum Lanigan (Carrick Swan)
A 14 point haul in the Final. Looks a real threat, a really bright future for the Carrick man. Only 19. 1-46 in Total, 1-14 of It from Play.
13. Ross Bonnar (Cashel King Cormacs)
So underrated but so effective. The Top Scorer from Play in the Premier Intermediate Grade. Bonnar also popped up in Midfield for one game and scored three points.

14. Aaron Dunne (Carrick Swan)
So effective in the Swan full Forward line. 1-15 from Play. Much more to Come.
15. Paudie Greene (Upperchurch Drombane)
Midfield or in the Forwards, Greene was scoring and creating from anywhere. He and Upperchurch will be sore with how the Year unfolded but Paudie can hold his head high.3-10 from Play.
