Just can’t stop conceding goals, 18 so far in their 4 Championship games, the Greatest number by any of the 16 Dan Breen Teams in the 2024 Senior Club Championship. We don’t know how they go about stopping it at this late stage but it has to happen if they want stay in Dan Breen in 2025.Reasons to be hopeful in their Sunday winner takes all clash v Lorrha in Nenagh ?,They have an average of 23.25 scored per game versus the Lorrha average of 0-22 score total per game, thanks in no small measure to the from play prowess of Sean Ryan.

May be regretting the decision not to play with the wind in the first half against Borris-ileigh. Showed enough in the Holycross and Borris game though for Us to give them hope. It’s been a fair baptism of fire for the 2023 Seamus O’Riain Champions at this level,0-34 total per game conceded versus 0-39 score total per game conceded by Templederry.

Where was this Roscrea all Year!!!. Free scoring and exciting versus Templederry in their Relegation Semi-Final. Alan Tynan really took the game by the scruff of the neck with 2-05 from Play.2022 Premier Intermediate Winners,2023 County Quarter Finalists,2024 Relegation Semifinalists, Consistency will be key for the Roscrea men going forward into 2025.Joint third worst defence of the 16 teams in Dan Breen, something they will have to address.

Did what they needed to do, against Lorrha. This will be a serious wake-up call though. Defence wasn’t an issue with them this Year, Third best in the County. Third Poorest Attack though, only slightly ahead of the 2 Relegation Finalists with an average of 22.50 scored per game.

8.Nenagh Eire Og
Were lucky to qualify from the group and showed little in the Thurles game. Managed to beat Lorrha twice this Year, in both their North and County Championship Senior Club Campaigns and that was it, Way Less than the Sum of their Parts when you look at the talent that they have in their Prime, the likes of Morris and the Heffernan’s and the talent that they have emerging, Keller, Cawley, O’Farrell. A serious shake is needed in Nenagh over the Winter if they don’t want to end up in a relegation dogfight similar to what happened Kilruane last year and Borris-ileigh this Year.

7.JK Brackens
A Campaign that started so brightly ended in disappointment their last two Outings. Showed what they are capable of in the early rounds but consistency is key now next year. The arrival of Rathdowney Man Shane Keegan as Manager, seems to have given them the green light to shoot the lights out, that coupled with the return to form of Paddy Caddel has made them a must watch outfit for the Neutrals on Clubber. Not a huge Spread of Scorers (10) in Comparison to other Clubs in the Senior Club Championship but their main threats have scored heavily, Ned Walsh with 2-06, Eanna McBride with 1-08, Jamie Ormond with 1-22 and Lyndon Fairbrother with 3-31.

6.Kilruane MacDonaghs
A great return performance from 2023 where they found themselves in a Relegation Semi-Final. They have to be happy with their efforts in 2024. Pushed Loughmore all the way in their Quarter Final. The 2022 Dan Breen winners are surely back to being serious contenders in 2025 ?.Willie Cleary their standout performer again this Year with a Final Tally of 1-43.

5.Kiladangan
8 Points up at Half time and in control for much of the Second half until their very own version of a Mad Max style apocalypse happened, there will much soul searching in Puckane over the Winter. With the talent and scoring power at their disposal, expect a hell of a back lash in 2025.

4.Moycarkey/Borris
WOW. That’s all we can say. They never gave up. Stayed playing until the end. May have got the Semi-Final draw they wanted in Toomevara but it’ll be no easy task, but there’s a serious swagger returning to Moycarkey/Borris regardless of what happens Saturday, their first Semi-Final since they last won the Dan Breen in 1984.

Will never get a better chance to get back to a First Senior Club County Final since 2008. Moycarkey took out their Northern Nemesis Kiladangan for them also. 19 Year Old Darragh McCarthy is top of the Scoring Charts with 1-45.The Toome Defence is Third Meanest in the Competition conceding only 21.25 in Total per game.

2.Loughmore/Castleiney
Still in Second Spot. The Housewife’s choice and the favourite of many a neutral throughout the Country for how they carry themselves in both Hurling and Football, We don’t know what to tell the Loughmore lads, They’ve won everything in their path so far. They will need to repeat their 2024 Mid exploits. It’s not beyond them though, their Semi-Final with Sars has the makings of an epic and it would take a brave man or a fool to predict the outcome.

1.Thurles Sarsfields
Always in control v Nenagh who pushed Loughmore to within a point in their Round 3 Group game. The Sars have been going about their business quietly but no more. Averaging a scoring total of 30.25 per game so far whilst conceding an average total of 20 per game, they are in rude health at both ends of the field. Second Best Attack, Best Defence. Just 18 of their Squad have scored from Play. Options Everywhere.
