1. Rhys Shelly (Moycarkey/Borris)
The Tipp net-minder was in top form all year. Scored (0-12) in every Championship game as his side made the County Semi Final for the first time since 1984. May need to curb the wide’s going forward.
2. Barry O’Connell (Toomevara)
The Limerick native was a steadying influence on the Toome backs throughout 2024. Some excellent performances especially in the knockout stages. 0-01 from play in their Quarter Final Win over Jk Brackens.
3. Denis Maher (Thurles Sarsfields)
An absolute immovable presence at the back for the Thurles side. A Team of the Week contender every week it seemed. Another man in the Full Back line with 0-01 from play, it came in their Round 1 Win over Mullinahone.
4. Willie Eviston (Loughmore Castleiney
Look for the definition of Loughmoreness in the dictionary, Willie Eviston’s Picture will be there, Sensible, Stable, Comfortable. Rarely beaten. A Guy You’d want with You in the Trench’s.
5. Lorcan Egan (Loughmore Casteliney)
Like all of Loughmore, can be depended on when the chips are down. Had Darragh McCarthy duty in the County Final. Darragh scored 0-1 from Play. Enough said.
6. Eoghan Hayes (Moycarkey Borris)
The Moycarkey Captain was brilliant all Year and none more so as he took the fight to Toome in their Semi Final Defeat. An inspirational Leader.
7. Brian McGrath (Loughmore Castleiney)
Sometimes You’d wish his Club form would transfer to County. Still Time Though. He’s been excellent all Year. Cool, Calm, Collected. 0-02 from Play for the Year. One of them in the Senior County Final.
8. Kieran Cummins (Moycarkey Borris)
Cummins really came to the fore with a 5 point performance from the middle as County Champions Kiladangan got dumped in their never to forgotten Quarter Final Win. Carried that form into the Toomevara County Semi Final Defeat also.
9. Ciaran Connolly (Loughmore Castleiney)
Outstanding all Year. Scores, Work rate, Drive. An Integral Part of the Tipperary Engine Room in 2025 ?.
10. John McGrath (Loughmore Castleiney)
The main Man upfront. Possibly the best Club Year he’s had, with more to come this Sunday in the Football Final. 1-13 and Man of the Match in the Senior Final.
11. Kevin McCarthy (Toomevara)
A real livewire from the number 11 position. Took the game to Loughmore at every opportunity. 0-13 from Play all Year,0-7 of his Total coming in the Semi Final and Final. Big Game Temperament.
12. Eoin McIntyre (Lorrha Dorrha)
This guy keeps getting better. Scored heavily all Year from play, no coincidence that late season Lorrha Form coincided with his own. Gets around the Park and is an energy giver to Ken Hogan’s side.
13. Jamie Ormond (JK Brackens)
Brackens went out with a whimper but had started the Year so well. Ormond was a constant throughout. Could he leapfrog the 20’s and go straight to the Seniors ?.1-22 from Play speaks Volumes about his Potential.
14. Darragh McCarthy (Toomevara)
Player of the Year up to the Final. Things didn’t go his way in Thurles but, he’s the reason Toome were in the Dan Breen Final. A real learning experience for him but He has it and He’s only 19.
15. Paul Flynn (Kiladangan)
Top scorer from play. Carried a fair weight of Kiladangan expectations. Has still so much to offer.
