Following a Huge Public Vote, We are delighted to announce that our 2023 Minor A Hurler of the Year is
Stefan Tobin Carrick Swan
Stefan has been marked out as a young man with serious hurling potential from a very young age. He was voted onto the 2022 Premierview Podcast Minor A Team of the Year at Corner Forward while still eligible to hurl u15.

His 2023 with Tipperary can be outlined as follows:
•Played U16 and U17 for Tipp this year, Stefan is eligible to hurl for Tipperary Minors again in 2024
•Scored 1-2 v Waterford in Munster Minor Championship
•Scored one of the goals of the year v Cork in Munster Minor Championship.

With Carrick Swan in 2023:

•Stefan hurled at both U17 & U19 this year
•Scored 1-13 in the U17 South Final in a man of the match performance v Mullinahone,a Mullinahone side who went on to become 2023 County Minor A Champions.
•U17 again next year.
•Scored 1-03 as Carrick Swan won the 2022 u17 B Football County Title played in January of 2023.
•An excellent handball Player, with Munster and All Ireland Medals at Juvenile level. Won the u15 All Ireland in 2022 but could not defend his title in 2023 due to a hand injury.

•Stefan has been a vital part of this years Harty Cup team for Edmund Rice Secondary School in Carrick-On-Suir(First time a Carrick school have had a team in the Harty Cup).Scoring 0-03 from Full Forward in their narrow defeat to Castletroy College in their opening game.
